Mercedes-Maybach S 500 launched in India Friday Sep 25,2015

Mercedes Benz India launched the Mercedes-Maybach S500 and S600 saloons in India.

 Priced Rs. 1.67 crore and Rs. 2.6 crore, respectively, the launch marks the introduction of Mercedes-Benz's new sub-brand 'Mercedes-Maybach' in the country

Out of the two, the Mercedes-Maybach S 500 will be locally produced in India in Chakan,Pune,Maharashtra, while the S 600 will arrive here via the CBU route.

Mercedes-Maybach Features:
a. Air Balance Package: It includes fragrancing, ionization and even more efficient filtration. A premium room fragrance has been designed exclusively for this model and the AGARWOOD bottle itself is adorned with the Maybach lettering
b. Handcrafted Champagne Flutes: These silver-plated flutes have been made for the on-board bar by Robbe&Berking, silversmiths in Flensburg, Germany
c. Magic Sky Control: The sliding sunroof in a Mercedes-Maybach S 600 is available with optional Magic Sky Control technology from Mercedes-Benz. The glass can be switched to light or dark at the touch of a button and thus creating a special interior ambience.
d. Rear seats with 'Hot Stone Massage'
e. Optional 2x2 seats with folding table
f. Standard extended leg support for both rear passengers



At the launch, the company’s MD and CEO Eberhard Kern said that Mercedes-Benz India now assembles eight models locally - the largest among any of the luxury carmakers in India including the other German carmakers BMW, Audi, and the Tatas-owned British carmaker Jaguar Land Rover.

Mercedes’ list of locally assembled cars now includes the C, E, M, S Class models and cars under CLA, GLA and GA class.


The Maybach S600 is the 12th model introduced by Mercedes in the Indian market this year and it is slated to roll-out three more before the end of December.
