Ronaldo scored five goals in Real's 6-0 victory over Espanyol, including a first-half hat trick. It was the second career five-goal game for CR7

The handful of goals gave Ronaldo a total of 230 goals in La Liga, surpassing the previous Real Madrid Raul's goals of 228 between 1994 and 2010.

The former Los Blancos striker needed 550 matches to reach his total, while the Portuguese achieved the feat in just 204 league games
