The 40th annual Toronto film festival is scheduled to be held from Sep 10-20,2015
Jean Marc Vallee's Demolition starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Naomi Watts was the opening night film and Mr Right by Paco Cabezas will serve as the closing night film.
This year's edition includes two new sections called Platform and Primetime.
First at Platform, twelve films will be screened in front of a jury, with the Best Film winning C$25000
Film directors Claire Denis,Jia Zhangke and Agnieszka Holland have been selected as the jurors for the Platform section
Secondly at Primetime, six high-quality TV programs will be presented at
the festival and will include public screenings and Q&A sessions
with show creators.
