Uttar Pradesh lad Mohd Hadish has made the country proud by bagging a gold medal in javelin throw at the on-going Commonwealth Youth Games at Apia (Samoa)

With this he has become the first from the country to win a gold medal in javelin throw event ever.

Mohd Hadish, ensured gold medal for himself by setting out the spear to a whooping distance of 79.29 metre on Tuesday Sep 08,2015
The young thrower stood way ahead of George Davies from England who finished at 68.23 metre with the silver medal.

Trained at ‘Rustam Army’ at the Madan Mohan Malviya Stadium in Allahabad, Hadish is son of a taxi driver Mohd Mustafa in Pratapgarh district of Uttar Pradesh.
