Serena Williams on the cover of New York Magazine August 10-23,2015

Va-va-voom! The 33-year-old sizzles on the cover, as she discusses her impressive career and love of fashion

With four Olympic gold medals, five Wimbledon championships, and 21 Grand Slam singles titles under her belt, there's no disputing that Serena Williams is one tough cookie on the tennis courts.

Serena  Williams has won 13 Grand Slam doubles titles with her sister Venus Williams and the pair are unbeaten in Grand Slam tournament finals

Serena Williams has spent 253 weeks overall as the WTA ranked #1 as of August 10, 2015

 21 Grand Slam Titles
Australian Open -2003,2005,2007,2009,2010,2015
French Open - 2002,2013,2015
Wimbledon - 2002,2003,2009,2010,2012,2015

Serena Williams's total of 21 Grand Slam singles titles is third on the all-time list behind Margaret Court (24) and Steffi Graf (22)

But for all her victories, the sportswoman still has to do battle with sexists who body-shame her and hold her to different standards than the boys.

Last month, a troll on Twitter suggested that Serena’s victory at this year’s Wimbledon was due to her masculine figure, writing on the social media site that she was 'built like a man'.
