Maruti Suzuki S-Cross Launched; Prices Start at Rs. 8.34 lakh Wednesday August 05,2015

 

Looking to gain a firm foothold in the premium segment, the country’s largest car maker Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) on Wednesday August 05,2015 rolled out crossover vehicle S-Cross at an introductory price range of Rs 8.34 lakh and Rs 13.74 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi)

“We currently have a market share of 45 per cent in the passenger vehicles segment. Still, 55 per cent of market is not with us. With the launch of this vehicle, we hope to further increase our market share,” MSI Managing Director and CEO Kenichi Ayukawa told

 

The new car will be available at the Nexa Network, introduced recently, across the country.Currently 35 Nexa showrooms are operational in 23 cities

The S-Cross is offered in all-diesel variants and priced from Rs 8.34 lakh - Rs 13.74 lakh before local levies and insurance in Delhi.

Maruti S-Cross is the first car from the company to be powered only by diesel engines.

It gets two engine options, the 1248cc DDiS 200 which generates a peak power of 66kW and the 1598cc DDiS 320 which generates a peak power of 88kW.

The claimed fuel efficiency (mileage) of the DDiS 200 is 23.65 kmpl and that of the DDiS 320 is 22.7 kmpl
