At one minute past midnight on Saturday August 01,2015, India and Bangladesh will take a major step toward ending one of the most complicated and protracted border disputes in the world. After over four decades of stalled negotiations, the governments of the two countries will begin swapping enclaves -- allowing Indian enclaves inside Bangladesh to merge with the latter, and vice versa

A Joint head count conducted in 2011 determined that the population in these Enclaves to be 51549 -
37334 being Population in Indian Enclaves and 14215 being Population in Bangladesh Enclaves

36335 opt to remain in Bangladesh
