  • 2010-11 in Australia -  England won the series 3–1 with wins at ,Adelaidw,MCG and Sydney,drawing the Brisbane Test and losing theTest at Perth

  • 2009 in England -England won the series 2-1 with wins at Lord's and The Oval,drawing the two test matches at - Cardiff and  Edgbaston and losing the test match at Headingly,Leeds

Highest Score : by a batsman in Ashes test match belongs to Len Hutton's 364 at the Oval in year 1938. Hutton batted for 797 minutes, played 847 deliveries and struck 35 fours in his marathon innings. for Australia, Don Bradman's 334 holds the record which he made at Leeds back in year 1930.. off just 448 balls

Highest total : was made by England against Australia = 903/7 declared off 335.2 overs at the Oval in year 1938. Australian highest test match score against England has been 729/6 dec at Lords off 232 overs back in year 1930. England highest Ashes total in Australia is 636 at Sydney back in 1928

Lowest Total : is made by Australia who were once bowled out for just 36 runs (in only 23 overs) at Birmingham back in 1902. England's lowest team score against Australia is 45, which they made at Sydney in year 1887

Most Centuries : in Ashes test cricket is, of course, by Donald Bradman = 19 in all. Jack Hobbs holds England record for most century against Australia = 12

Most games : is played by SE Gregory = 52 Ashes tests. Allan Border played 47 ashes tests while English record is held by Michael Cowdrey = 43 tests against Australia.

Most games as captain : is by Allan Border who captained Australia in 29 Ashes test matches. Archie MacLaren holds England record with 22 Ashes tests as captain. Don Bradman captained Australia in 19 Ashes tests

Most runs in an Ashes Series : belongs to none other than Don Bradman who made 974 runs at an average of 139.14 on 1930's tour to England from 7 innings of 5 tests with 4 centuries. WR Hammond has English record for most runs against Australia in an Ashes series = 905 from 9 innings of 5 tests in 1928 England tour of Australia.

Most Runs : in all Australia vs England Ashes test series is made by Don Bradman who has 5028 runs at an average of 89.78 from 37 games. Jack Hobbs leads England's most prolific Ashes batsman with his 3636 runs from 41 games. Allan Border made 3548 runs in Ashes test series

Most Wickets : in Ashes test career is by Shane Warne who dismissed 195 England batsman from his 36 games with a best bowling of 8 wickets for 71 runs. Warne picked up eleven 5 wicket hauls and four 10 wicket hauls against England. Ian Botham has most wickets from England against Australia = 148 from 36 games.

Best Bowling figures : in an Ashes test match belongs to Jim Laker = 19 wickets for 90 runs against Australia from his 68 overs at Manchester in year 1956. Against England, the best best match bowling spell is by Robert Massie for his 16 wickets in at Lords in year 1972.

Best Bowling figures : in an innings of a Ashes test match = Jim Laker who once got all 10 wickets (and 9 in second innings) in above mentioned match at Manchester. For Australia, Alferd Aurther Mailey, the leg spinner, holds the record with his 9 wickets for 121 runs back in 1921 against England at Melbourne
