The court discharged 36 accused arrested by police as it found no evidence against them. All the accused are out on bail as of today. Police had in all chargesheeted 42 accused, including underworld don Dawood Ibrahim and Chota Shakeel.
The chargesheet included 6,000 pages and the names of three Rajasthan Royals' players as accused.
The BCCI had slapped a life ban on Sreesanth and Chavan, but the court verdict now clears them of all charges leaving the BCCI in a tight position.

In 2013 when the case broke out, Police had invoked Sections 3 and 4 of Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) and claimed India's most wanted underworld don Dawood Ibrahim and his associates were running betting syndicate and were the mastermind of IPL spot-fixing in season 6.
Despite slapping MCOCA, all suspects managed to get bail on 10th June, 2013.
On 16th May 2013, special cell of the Delhi Police carried out raids in Mumbai and arrested the three players of Rajasthan Royals.
On September 14,2013, the BCCI Disciplinary Committee comprising N Srinivasan, Arun Jaitley and Niranjan Shah passed the order to slap bans on the players based on the evidence on record
Sreesanth and Ankeet Chavan were banned for life while the committee handed out five-year and one-year bans to Amit Singh and Siddarth Trivedi respectively.
