Serena Williams set up a titanic Wimbledon fourth round showdown with sister Venus as the world number one staged a dramatic final set fightback to beat Britain's Heather Watson 6-2, 4-6, 7-5 on Friday July 03,2015
Serena Williams, bidding for a 6th Wimbledon title and a calendar Grand Slam, was on the brink of a humiliating third round exit when Heather Watson served for the match at 5-4 in the final set.

Twice, Serena Williams stood merely two points from a loss - trailed 3-0 and 5-4 in the final set ,but showed why she has won 20 Grand Slam titles as she broke back before finally sealing an epic escape in two hours and 14 minutes in front of an enthralled Centre Court.


"It was a tough, tough ask today. But I was super, super close. I think that's what really hurts the most," Heather Watson said
"I honestly didn't think I was going to win,"
"How I pulled through, I really don't know.
"I just was like, 'listen, if I'm going to go lose, I'm going to lose trying to do the right things'."Serena Williams said

Note
It is 36 years since a British woman last beat a world number one, when Sue Barker beat Chris Evert in Boston in 1979.


Serena Williams(33) will face Venus on Monday July 06,2015 for the first time in a Grand Slam since beating her in the 2009 Wimbledon final.

The William Sisters' last meeting came in 2014 when Venus Williams won in Montreal, but Serena Williams holds a 14-11 advantage over Venus Williams(35) in their career head to head.
