2015 India Tour of Zimbabwe - Karn Sharma ruled out of India's tour of Zimbabwe Monday July 06,2015

Karn Sharma, who was picked in India's squad for the coming tour of Zimbabwe, was on Monday July 06,2015 ruled out of the series due to a fractured finger.

Karn Sharma, who made his debut for India against Sri Lanka in November 2014, has played two ODIs so far; but a fracture in the left middle finger will now see him missing the African tour, for which the team will depart on Tuesday July 07,2015

Karn Sharma was among the 15-man squad picked by the BCCI selectors, but Sharma's injury layoff will mean that the Ajinkya Rahane-led side will now travel as a 14-man squad.

According to a press release sent by the BCCI, the medical team has confirmed Sharma's injury; but what's interesting to note is that the board has decided to not name any replacement for the legspinner.

Note
The selectors had rested as many as seven seniors for the tour and dropped Ravindra Jadeja, which provided many fringe players a chance to perform at the highest level.
Apart from Karn Sharma, Manish Pandey, Kedar Jadhav and Sandeep Sharma are some of the other youngsters who have been picked for the tour.
