Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Gagnuly and VVS Laxman – have agreed to be part
of a BCCI advisory committee, a decision tweeted by the BCCI secretary
Anurag Thakur and later confirmed by the board’s official press release
The trio's first job should be to find a suitable replacement for
coach Duncan Fletcher, whose tenure ended after the World Cup in
Australia and New Zealand earlier this year.
The announcement also sort of clarifies that Ganguly is not in the
running for the post of Team Director replacing Ravi Shastri, as had
been reported earlier. However, it hasn't been ruled out either.
