2015 ICC Cricket World Cup - Sri Lanka brings in Kusal Perera to replace injured Dinesh Chandimal

 The Event Technical Committee of the ICC Cricket World Cup on Tuesday March 10,2015 approved Kusal Perera as a replacement player for Dinesh Chandimal in Sri Lankas squad for the tournament.
Chandimal suffered a hamstring injury during his sides match against Australia in Sydney and has been ruled out of further participation in the tournament

The Event Technical Committee of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 is Geoff Allardice (ICC General Manager  Cricket, Chairman), Campbell Jamieson (ICC General Manager  Commercial), John Harnden (Chief Executive, CWC 2015 LOC), Gavin Larsen (Cricket Operations Manager, New Zealand), Russel Arnold and Sanjay Manjrekar (independent nominees)

Wicket-Keeper Batman Dinesh Chandimal retired hurt after he pulled a hamstring while batting during the match Vs Australia on Sunday March 08,2015 @ SCG

Kusal Perera(24)who  has scored 839 runs in 41 ODI's but was dropped after Sri Lanka's one-day series against England in December 2014 will join the Sri Lankan squad in time for the game against Scotland in Hobart on Wednesday March 11,2015

Dinesh Chandimal is the fourth Sri Lanka player to be ruled out of the tournament by injury since their original squad was announced.Pace bowler Dhammika Prasad (fractured hand), all-rounder Jeevan Mendis (hamstring) and batsman Dimuth Krunaratne (broken finger) have already been replaced by Dushmantha Chameera, Upul Tharanga and Seekkuge Prasanna respectively
