Morocco banned from the next two(2017 and 2019) Africa Cup of Nations Friday Feb 06,2015

Morocco have been banned from the next two Africa Cup of Nations after failing to host this year's tournament.
Morocco's football federation was also fined US$1m (£650,000) and ordered to pay 8m euros (£5.9m) in damages.
CAF refused to accept Morocco’s reasons for pulling out of hosting the 2015 event.
“The CAF executive committee considered that, contrary to what the Royal Moroccan Football Federation cited, force majeure cannot be accepted for the benefit of the federation,” said CAF. “CAF decided to suspend the national team of Morocco from the next two editions of the Africa Cup of Nations, 2017 and 2019, and to impose on the federation the regulatory fine of US$1 million … they decided by a separate measure to be borne by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation the sum of eight million and fifty thousand euros in compensation for all material damage sustained.”

Note
Morocco had expressed concerns about hosting this year's event following the outbreak of the Ebola virus in Africa and asked for the tournament to be delayed until 2016, but the Confederation of African Football (CAF) rejected the request.
Equatorial Guinea were named as replacement host for the 16-team event, while Morocco, who had qualified as hosts, were expelled
