India prepares for US President Barack Obama's visit

 
 US President Barack Obama, the chief guest at this year’s Republic Day parade on January 26, will land in Delhi the previous day and leave on January 27,2015 and is also expected to visit the Taj Mahal at Agra


To ensure fool-proof security during the visit of US President Barack Obama, “25 United States Secret Service agents” have arrived in the national Capital and are currently staying in The Maurya Sheraton Hotel.
Ahead of Obama’s arrival, these agents held a meeting with the officials of the Indian intelligence agencies and Delhi Police, and discussed the security plans. 
The meeting was held on Monday Jan 19,2015 evening in the basement of the hotel for about one and a half hour. 
Ahead of the US President’s scheduled visit, an “advance security liaisoning meeting” was held in the basement of the hotel where the senior officials of intelligence agencies and officials from Security Wing of Delhi Police, Additional Commissioner of Police SBS Tyagi and Additional DCP Amit Roy were present,” the officer said. 

Delhi Police officials presented their security arrangements before the US secret agents and asked them to share their security plans as well. 
The US secret service agents were satisfied with the arrangements of Delhi Police

Two teams of over 30 members each from the US embassy and US President Barack Obama’s security personnel reached Agra and held a series of meetings with the hotel owners around the Taj Mahal, officers of the Archaeological Survey of India and police officers to discuss measures to sanitise the tourist city. 
They have asked the owners of all the hotels to provide every detail about their employees. 
New booking of rooms in some of the hotels within the radius of 500 metres of the Taj Mahal has also been stopped till January 27,2015
