2015 ICC World Cup - 15 Member Indian Team Announced Tuesday Jan 06,2015

 

Stuart Binny and Akshar Patel are the notable inclusions  in India's 15-man World Cup squad despite having made just six and nine ODI appearances respectively but there is no place for fellow all-rounder Yuvraj Singh.

Yuvraj Singh was player of the tournament when India lifted the trophy on home soil 4 years ago in 2011 and although he has not played an one-day-international in over 12 months there were suggestions the 33-year-old would earn a shock recall.

There are no major surprises in the squad, which will continue to be led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who last week relinquished the Test captaincy and retired from the format.

Seamers Mohit Sharma and Dhawal Kulkarni will travel down under for the triangular series involving Australia and England which acts as a warm-up for the World Cup

India begin their campaign in the  2015 ICC World Cup on February 15,2015 Vs Pakistan.
