Thousands marched through Lima on Wednesday to protest against climate change as the United Nations climate summit, COP20, nears its final days.

Thousands marched in support of Mother Earth as they chanted slogans against illegal mining, and logging operations, as well as oil drilling.

The momentum from a historic U.S.-China pact to resist global warming is showing signs of fading at the U.N. climate talks in Peru as the familiar rich-poor conflict persists over who should do what to keep the planet from overheating

Delegates from more than 190 countries are meeting in Lima, to work on drafts for a global climate deal that is supposed to be adopted next year in Paris
