Gulf Coperation Council(GCC)

 
The Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf originally and still colloquially) known as the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)is a Regional Inter-Governmental political and economic union consisting of all Arab Staes of the Persian Gulf, except for Iraq.


Its member states are -

  • Bahrain
  • Kuwait
  • Oman
  • Qatar
  • Saudi Arabia and 
  • United Arab Emirates(UAE)
Established in Abu Dhabi on May 25, 1981,the original union comprised the 630-million-acre (2,500,000 km2)Persian Gulf States of Bahrain,Kuwait,Oman,Qatar,Saudi Arabia and UAE
