Tamil actor S.S. Rajendran dead Friday Oct 24,2014

Tamil cinema’s Yesteryear actor S.S. Rajendran known as SSR, and a contemporary of Sivaji Ganesan and MG Ramachandran, who was battling for life at a private hospital in Chennai, breathed his last on Friday Oct 24,2014. 

He was 86 and is  survived by 2 wives, including actress Vijayakumari (his wife Thamarai Chelvi had passed away earlier) and 7 children.

SSR, closely associated with the Dravidian movement, and later became a member of DMK, and got elected to the assembly. He joined the ADMK after MGR launched the party. But he could not get along with both MGR and Mr. Karunanidhi and quit politics.
