Final Phase of Eastern Freeway Inaugurated Monday June 16,2014

With Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan inaugurating the third and final phase which connects Panjarpol to Ghatkopar, the entire stretch became operational for vehicular traffic

The 16.4 km-long Eastern Freeway became operational from Monday with Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan throwing open to public the final stretch of 2.8 km, that will reduce the commuting time between south Mumbai and Ghatkopar in the eastern suburbs to 30 minutes
