2014 IPL Season 7 kicked off in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday April 16,2014 with an emphatic 41-run win for the Kolkata Knight Riders over defending champions Mumbai Indians.

Opting to bat, KKR rode on Kallis's 72 and Manish Pandey's 64 to post a competitive 163 for five, before restricting Mumbai Indians to 122/7 in 20 Overs at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium,Abu Dhabi

 

Jacques Kallis set the tone with the bat, before Sunil Narine finished off the job with 4 wickets. 

KKR's innings was built on the 131-run second-wicket partnership between Kallis 72 off 46 Balls with 4x5and 6x3 and Pandey 64 off 53 balls 4x6 and 6x2
