SF Second Leg -Bayern Munich Vs Real Madrid Tuesday April 29,2014

There was a minute's silence before proceedings began in honour of former Barcelona coach, and Pep Guardiola's former assistant, Tito Vilanova and former Real manager Vujadin Boskov who both passed away last week.

Real Madrid beats Bayern Munich 4-0 and reach the finals of 2013-14 UEFA CL since 2002(Aggregate Goals 5-0)
Goal Scorers -Sergio Ramos(16 & 20) and Cristiano Ronaldo(34&90)

Sergio Ramos scored twice within 20 minutes; Cristiano Ronaldo broke the tournament scoring record with his 15th goal of the campaign, and then added another to it.
He celebrated that first goal with an extravagant mime of the magic number, palms outstretched, fingers splayed: ten, then five, he told his team-mates, ten, then five. He looked so happy.

Cristiano Ronaldo also set a new record by becoming the first player to score 16 goals in a single Champions League/European Cup campaign, with his two goals beating the total of 14 scored by Barcelona's Lionel Messi in 2012.

Cristiano Ronaldo became the 1st player to score 16 goals in a single CL and with his 16 goals he beats Lionel Messi record of 14 goals in 2012

  • 16 - Ronaldo's tally of 16 goals in a European Cup season is two more than the previous record held by Lionel Messi (2011-12 Barcelona), Ruud van Nistelrooy (2002-03 Man Utd) and Jose Altafini (1962-63 Milan)
  • 33 - Ronaldo has scored a record 33 goals in the Champions League knockout phase, two more than Messi
  • 51 - Ronaldo scored his 51st goal for Real Madrid in all European competitions. Only Raul (66) has more for Real

A corner by Luka Modric was met By Sergio Ramos, who headed down past Manuel Neuer, as Dante failed to challenge the Madrid defender.

The second goal came after Di Maria’s swinging free kick into the box. Pepe nodded the ball on and the diving Sergio Ramos headed into the net.

Benzema fed Bale, who easily outpaced Jerome Boateng and passed to the unmarked Ronaldo, who calmly slotted home in the 34th. Ronaldo then fired a low free kick through the wall in the 89th to complete Real Madrid’s superb performance.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale both missed an empty net when Neuer twice mistimed clearing attempts far outside the penalty box.

Xabi Alonso was given yellow card for a foul on Bastian Schweinsteiger, which will rule him out of the final on May 24,2014

So, once again, the Champions League will not be retained.

No team has won back to back European titles since the Champions League began in earnest

Real Madrid had never won in Munich in 10 previous matches, losing 9 of them and drawing one

Real Madrid had lost three consecutive semifinals, including a 2012 shootout when Ramos missed a penalty.

Real Madrid last won the CL in 2002 defeating Bayern Leverkusen at Glasgow's Hampden Park in 2002

It was a bitter defeat for Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola, who had so much success against Madrid when he was in charge of Barcelona.

Real Madrid will now play either Chelsea or Atletico Madrid in the May 24,2014 final in Lisbon,Portugal
