Left Front

CPI(M), CPI, RSP and FB are the constituents in the more-than-three-decade-old Left Front which was in power West Bengal until 2011


The left front continues to be in power in Tripura under the leadership of Manik Sarkar -CPI(M)since  March 1998
Manik Sarkar won  the 2013 Assembly Election and assumed office of CM for the 3rd time

 Left Democratic Front (LDF)in Kerala comprises of -

• CPI(M)
• CPI
• Revolutionary Socialist Party (RSP) 
• JD(S)
• Nationalist Congress Party

Fowrward Bloc(FB) which is almost non-existent in Kerala has never been formally inducted in the 34 year-old Left Democratic Front (LDF) in the state. It is in protest against its non-induction in the LDF that the FB decided to field its candidate in Kollam
