Arvind Kejriwal Stopped On The Way To Narendra Modi's Residence Friday March 07,2014

Arvind Kejriwal,the former Delhi chief minister, on a 'study' tour of Gujarat, announced his plans to meet Modi on Friday March 07,2014 to discuss 16 specific issues, including gas pricing and corruption.

However, Kejriwal failed to meet the BJP's prime ministerial candidate as he did not seek prior appointment and Narendra  Modi was busy.

It was another day of drama as Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal tried to meet Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi. But luckily there was no violence as was witnessed a couple of days back when AAP and BJP supporters clashed over Kejriwal's alleged detention on his entry to Gujarat

Along with the disappointment that the meeting didn't take place, the AAP leader was also unhappy that the car he was travelling in along with Manish Sisodia was stopped five kilometres from Modi's residence in Ahmedabad.

Arvind Kejriwal said: "I wanted to meet him, but we were stopped 5 km from his residence. I am not a terrorist. Being an ex-CM, I deserve a courtesy call from Modi. Instead we were stopped. This is not democracy."

 

Arvind Kejriwal, the AAP chief also felt Narendra Modi was shying away from a debate.
"He has not been answering questions except to make speeches in public. We are also aam janta (common people)… If the person who dreams of becoming the PM does not want to meet us, what can we do?" asked Kejriwal, who claimed Modi is in Mukesh Ambani's pocket.
"People say you have such a close relationship with Mukesh Ambani that you have made Ambani family's son-in-law a minister. You made Saurabh Patel a minister and gave him portfolios like gas, petroleum, energy and minerals. In a way you allocated Gujarat's natural resources to the Ambanis," Kejriwal alleged. 

After Kejriwal's convoy was allegedly stopped by the police, a charge denied by Gandhinagar superintendent of police Sharad Singhal, Sisodia was escorted by the police to Modi's office to seek an appointment.
