Designed by Marque Creative, it was inspired by three factors, time, data and measurement.
Its rings are proportioned to represent the 20th Commonwealth Games, across 17 sports, over 11 days in 1 city

The uniform for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games' volunteers are unveiled during an event at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow, Scotland. Glasgow 2014 organisers have unveiled the uniform for the Commonwealth Games' 15,000 volunteers.
The so-called Clydesiders will wear red polo shirts and grey trousers when they take up their role at this summer's sports extravaganza

2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games Medals Unveiled
The 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games Medals Unveiled at the city's Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum during an event which also demonstrated the medal procession ceremony
Designed by jeweller Jonathan Boyd, who worked with specialists at Glasgow School of Art, the handmade medals weigh 100g and are made from silver gilt for the gold, silver and bronze.
Former Commonwealth gold medallist Iwan Thomas hosted the event, which also featured Scotland's most decorated athlete, Allan Wells MBE, and aspiring future star Joseph Amouzou, 18, who attends the Glasgow School of Sport.
Amouzou is the reigning under-20 indoor triple jump champion and hopes to compete in future Commonwealth Games
The 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games begins with the opening ceremony at Celtic Park featuring 3,000 cast members alongside 4,500 athletes from the 71 participating nations
The Queen will open the Games, reading a message contained in the baton which formed the heart of a 10-month relay across the Commonwealth.
Males boxers at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow will not wear head guards for the first time since 1982
