Funerals for the victims of Ukraine's political violence have been held in Independence Square on the day a fragile deal between president Viktor Yanukovych and opposition leaders was signed, bringing the bloodshed to a halt.
Coffins carrying some of the 25 people who were killed during the clashes were carried by anti-government protestors as thousands gathered to pay their respects.
Thousands of people crammed into the square and held up lighters or phones as the bodies were carried through the city
