Delhi Assembly Introduce Jan Lokpal bill Friday Feb 14,2014

AAP introduce Jan Lokpal Bill in Delhi Assembly and Opposition calls it  illegal.Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has tabled the Jan Lokpal Bill in the assembly

Aam Aadmi Party minister Manish Sisodia said that the jan lokpal bill has been introduced and sought a discussion on this and members immediately started to protest

The Delhi assembly was adjourned for 20 minutes after members continued to demand that the speaker read out Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung's letter to him asking him not to allow the jan lokpal bill to be tabled in the House

The uproar continued over Aam Aadmi Party's anti-graft bill and the speaker MS Dhir said that he will read out L-G's letter only at a suitable time when the bill is brought in.

He then adjourned the House for 20 minutes after the chaos continued and called an all-party meet in his chamber to break deadlock.

Earlier in the day, Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung wrote to Speaker MS Dhir asking him not to allow the jan lokpal bill to be tabled in the assembly

Both the union home ministry and union ministry of law and justice have written to the L-G that introduction of a bill that may be repugnant to the central act needs prior assent from the President

BJP MLA and Leader of Opposition Harsh Vardhan says the L-G letter is an order and the Jan Lokpal Bill cannot be tabled by defying it

In the voting that took place in the Delhi Assembly on the Jan Lokpal Bill, 42 members were against its introduction while 27 were in its favour
