Chennai Corporation Mayor Saidai S Duraisamy inaugurated the first diabetes and hypertension camp recently at the K P Park at Pulianthope.
Around 66,000 people will be screened free of cost for diabetes and hypertension. Several teams from the Specialities Centre including doctors, dieticians, technicians and educators will be participating in the camps that will be held at multiple places throughout the day on Thursday Feb 13,2014
The Health and family welfare department is organizing 660 special medical camps in different parts of TN as part of chief minister J Jayalalithaa's 66th birthday celebrations.
Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital will conduct a medical camp at Vasantha Mandapam on Rasappa Chetty Street in Chennai from 8am to 4pm on Tuesday February 18,2014
Specialists from different fields like cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, rheumatology, ortho, opthalmology, ENT, obstetrics & gynecology, nephrology, neurology, haematology, dermatology, surgical gastroenterology, vascular surgery, plastic surgery, general surgery, medical gastroenterology and paediatrics will be present at the special camp. They will examine the patients and prescribe necessary drugs
Chennai Corporation Mayor Saidai S Duraisamy on Wednesday February 19,2014 inaugurated blood donation camps in the city as part of its celebrations in connection with the birthday of Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa.
Chennai Corporation Mayor Saidai S Duraisamy inaugurated the programme at a function in Stella Maris College.
The civic body has set the target of reaching 66,000 blood donors through camps conducted across 15 zones with the help of the Chennai Corporation, AIDS Preventive and Control Society and staff from government and private hospitals.
