Fauji Radio Channel Dedicated To Armed Forces Launched On Republic Day Jan 26,2014

 

A special tribute to the nation's soldiers was paid this Republic Day with the launch of a dedicated radio channel for the armed forces by a Bangalore-based group.

Fauji Radio, the online radio channel also available to general listeners, is aimed at letting the countrymen know more about the men and women in uniform.

Music will be the staple fare at Fauji Radio, other programmes featuring the soldiers and their families will also be produced.
"Other shows include Veer Nariyan (Brave Women) where we talk to not just women in uniform but also with wives of soldiers. We talk to veteran soldiers recalling their days in service. Cookery shows and other general entertainment shows will also be there,"

"It is about the armed forces, it is for the armed forces and it is for the people who are interested in the armed forces. I believe entertainment and radio are their lifelines when they are deployed," Anil Srivatsa, a 'fauji' kid himself and chief of internet-based group, radiowalla.in, told
