Nizamuddin-Ernakulam Mangala Lakshadweep Express (12618) Train Derails Friday Nov 15,2013

At least 3 persons were killed and nearly 29 injured when ten compartments of the Ernakulam-bound Mangala Lakshadweep Express derailed at Ghoti near Igatpuri in Nashik around 6.30 a.m. on Friday Nov 15,2013

At least five compartments of the train have piled up. Only after the derailed compartments are lifted, the exact number of casualties can be arrived at.

More than 40 injured persons have been shifted to the nearby hospital

The mishap took place around 6.20 a.m. on Friday when the Nizamuddin-Ernakulam Mangala Lakshadweep Express (12618) train was passing through the Ghoti-Igatpuri section, about 35 km from Nashik.
