Halloween celebrations in USA Thursday Oct 31,2013

Halloween is a yearly celebration observed in a number of countries on October 31, the eve of the western Christian Feast of All Hallows' Day

The word "Halloween" means "hallowed evening" or "holy evening"

White House  was decorated for the festive holiday

A giant spider web was put up on the White House


Trick-or-treating is a customary celebration for children on Halloween. Children go in costume from house to house, asking for treats such as candy or sometimes money, with the question, "Trick or treat?" The word "trick" refers to "threat" to perform mischief on the homeowners or their property if no treat is given

First Lady Michelle Obama and President Barack handed out treats to children from local schools and members of military families
