2014 ICC World Twenty20 March 16 to 6 April 2014

The 2014 ICC World Twenty20 will be the 5th  ICC World Twenty20 competition, an international Twenty20 cricket tournament that is scheduled to take place in Bangladesh from  March 16 to 6 April 2014

Bangladesh will host the tournament in 3 cities -Dhaka,Chittagong and Sylhet

It will be second and consecutive time that an Asian country will host this event, as Sri Lanka hosted the 2012 ICC World Twenty20


Participating Teams
For the first time the tournament will have 16 teams including 10 full members qualified directly and 6 associate members qualified through 2013 ICC World Twenty 20 Qualifier

The 10 Full Members are -

• Australia
• Bangladesh
• England
• India
• New Zealand
• Pakistan
• South Africa
• Sri Lanka
• West Indies and
• Zimbabwe

The 6 Associate Members are -

• Afghanistan
• Canada
• Ireland
• Kenya
• Netherlands and
• Scotland

The two groups of the Men's Super 10 stage are:

• Group 1 - Sri Lanka, England, South Africa, New Zealand, Group B Qualifier 1 (Q1B)
• Group 2 - West Indies, India, Pakistan, Australia, Group A Qualifier 1 (Q1A)

The 2014 ICC World Twenty20 will host a total of 35 matches
