England’s Lord’s Record in the Ashes Series




If England win this Test, it will be their 50th Test victory at Lord’s.(Of the other four Test grounds being used in this Ashes series, they have record 21 wins at Trent Bridge, 25 at Old Trafford, four at the Riverside in Durham and 39 at the Oval)

England’s Lord’s record in recent years against allcomers has been excellent, with only one defeat in 15 Tests since Australia won here in 2005

England’s top seven all enjoy batting at Lord’s.Kevin Pietersen (average 61) has scored five Test hundreds at Lord’s, Ian Bell (56) and Matt Prior (47) three each, and Jonathan Trott (69) two. Even Joe Root (55) and Jonny Bairstow (42) have done well at Lord’s with their limited opportunities.

James Anderson currently has 58 Test victims at Lord's, behind only Ian Botham (69) and Fred Trueman (63). Stuart Broad is joint-fourth, on 47, with Bob Willis
