England Squad for Third Test at Old Trafford against Australia Thursday Aug 1,2013

England have recalled Monty Panesar, James Taylor and Chris Tremlett for the third Ashes Test against Australia at Old Trafford starting Thursday Aug 1,2013 with fast bowlers Steven Finn and Graham Onions the omitted players

Left-arm spinner Monty Panesar, who played the last of his 48 Tests against New Zealand in March, has been named as the second spinner in a 14-man squad.Monty Panesar may play his first Test at home in four years if the England management opt for two spinners on an Old Trafford pitch with a reputation for turn.  

James Taylor could be in line for his third Test(played two Tests against South Africa in August 2012) should Kevin Pietersen not be passed fit for Old Trafford.Kevin Pietersen is still recovering from a calf strain sustained during the win at Lord's and his fitness will be monitored close to the Test, said the ECB

Chris Tremlett has played 11 Tests, makes a return after last playing in January 2012
