Kevin Rudd wrote on Twitter
Record Breaking Debut Details are -
1)Phillip Hughes and Ashton Agar scored 163 Runs, the highest 10th-wicket partnership of all time in Tests
2)Ashton Agar might have missed a maiden hundred but for the man dubbed 'Ashton
Who?'
two world records in a day was enough as he
walked off the ground with a smile and a shrug that won further
admiration
- now holds the highest score by a No. 11 of all time by scoring 98
Runs surpassing Tino Best(WI) 95 Runs against England at Edgbaston in
20129(previous-best for Australia was by Glenn McGrath who scored 61
against New Zealand at the Gabba in 2004)
- dominated a transformational stand of 163 in 33 overs for the last wicket - another world record - with Phillip Hughes
3)Ashton Agar's 98 was also only the second half-century by a No.11 batsman in an
Ashes Test - the previous one was by Frederick Spofforth at MCG in March 1885
4)Ashton
Agar by scoring 98 runs on debut and batting as a No 11 Batsman broke
the record for the highest score by a No. 11 batsman on debut held by
Warwick Armstrong(Australia) who scored an unbeaten 45 against England
in 1902
