The State Election Commissioner P.Ramakanth Reddy said here on Wednesday
that of the 21,592 panchayats, elections will be held to 21,491
panchayats and 2,18,820 wards in them.
The three-phase elections will be
held on July 23, 27 and 31,2013.As each district has three and more revenue divisions, elections would
be held in each district in three phases (July 23, 27 and 31) from 7
a.m. to 1 p.m. by means of ballot box and the counting would be taken up
after 2 p.m. on the same day and the results would be declared.
District-wise election notices would be issued by the respective District Collectors and Returning Officers on July 9 ,2013
The ward-wise electoral roll of gram panchayats will be put on display
on July 9 and candidates contesting as sarpanches and ward members can
file nominations from July 9 between 10.30 a.m and 5 p.m. The last day
for filing of nominations is July 13,2013
