A M Homes wins 2013 Women's Prize for Fiction


American Novelist A.M. Homes has won the 2013 Women’s Prize for Fiction with her sixth novel, “May We Be Forgiven.”

A M Homes beat award winning writer Hilary Mantel and three other finalists for the $ 45,000 prize, previously known as the Orange Prize and from next year to be called the Bailey's Prize,one of Britain’s most prestigious literary awards

The Baileys Women's Prize for Fiction (previously called Women's Prize for Fiction (2013), Orange Prize for Fiction (2008–12) and Orange Broadband Prize for Fiction (1996–2008)) is one of the United Kingdom's most prestigious literary prizes,annually awarded to a female author of any nationality for the best original full-length novel written in English, and published in the United Kingdom in the preceding year
