Pakistan Prisoner Sanaullah Haq Dies -Thursday May 09,2013

Pakistani prisoner Sanaullah passed away at 6:30 am on Thursday at PGIMER, Chandigarh due to multiple organ failure

Sanaullah's condition had worsened on Wednesday following kidney failure and neurological problems. "Patient has become extremely critical. He has developed renal failure with no urine output since morning. Hence he was put on peritoneal dialysis by nephrologists," the bulletin issued on Tuesday evening said.

Sanaullah's relatives, brother-in-law Mohammed Sehzaad and nephew Mohammed Asif visited him on Wednesday for about 10 minutes in the Advanced Trauma Centre of PGIMER. 



"The patient was brought in a brain dead condition and died this morning due to multiple organ failure," a hospital spokesperson said. 


Pakistan High Commission Spokesperson Manzoor Memon requested India to make arrangements to send Sanaullah's body back to his country immediately. "We are in deep grief and shock. My deep condolence to the family of Sunaullah. We have requested the government of India for an international enquiry into the attack on the Pakistani citizen''

Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin says, "We tried to take all necessary measures to save Sanaullah. In touch with the Pakistan authorities. Will make all arrangements to facilitate handing over the body. Waiting for the details of the flight which will come from Pakistan." 

The Pakistani High Commissioner Salman Bashir had visited Sanaullah on Monday and demanded an impartial probe into the attack.

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah says action has been taken against authorities at the Kot Balwal Jail where the attack occurred.

A resident of Sialkot in Pakistan,Sanaullah(59) was serving a life term after he was convicted under TADA provisions following his arrest in 1999
