Annamalai university has about 37,000 students on its Chidambaram campus and nearly three lakh students are in the stream of distance education
Shiv Das Meena,an 1989 IAS batch officer,till now Commissioner of Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection,took charge of his new assignment.
It is not the first time that the government posts IAS officers to manage the affairs of Universities. In the case of Madras University in the last 25 years, three officers – Ashok Vardhan Shetty, D. Jothi Jagarajan and P. Kolappan – held the post of Registrar.
am very happy to state, that, T.N. Govt, took this action too late. this things should be taken early means some unavoidable problems may be stopped. am so happy after shivdas meena taking administrator of annamalai university. one things i want to suggest him, please sir dont allow anymore corruption in the annamalai university administration.. if it is happen u should take severe action in order to eradicate bribe.
