Uttar Pradesh's ruling Samajwadi Party (SP) on Friday Nov 16,2012 announced 55 candidates for the next general elections expected only in 2014, the first off the block in the race to Parliament.
Party general secretary Ram Gopal Yadav announced 55 candidates for the 80 Lok Sabha seats in the state.
SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav will again contest from Mainpuri and his daughter-in-law Dimple Yadav will fight from Kannauj, 16 more MPs have been repeated.
The Re-Nominated 16 MPs are -
