The All India Malayali Association has made a 12,000 sq. feet rangoli portrait of K.J. Yesudas on the eve of the Mathruvandanam programme at St. Georges’ Anglo Indian School in Chennai on Saturday Sep 08,2012, with the aim of entering the Limca Book of World Records.
In 1970 K J Yesudas was nominated to head the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Academy and was the youngest person to occupy the post
In 2006, K J Yesudas sang 16 film songs in four South Indian languages on the same day at AVM Studio, Chennai; the 16th song won him a Kerala State Award.
