2012 London Olympics - First Time Women Participation

Noor Hussain Al-Malki(Qatar)aged 17 was the first Qatari Woman to compete in Track and Field at the Olympics.In the 100m on Friday Aug 03,2012,the official result declared was that Malki DNF(did not finish)because she was slow,out of the blocks,appeared to be very tight and finally clutched at her right leg before stopping after about 15 metres.
 


Tahmina Kohishani(Afghanistan)was the only Female Representative from Afghansistan and in the 100m finished last in her heats but in a personal best time of 14.42seconds.
 



Maziah Mahusin(Brunei)did not advance out of her heat in the 400m but she did a new national record when she crossed the finish line in 59.28 seconds.
 


Wojdan Sheherkani(Saudi Arabia) aged 16 was the first Female Saudi Arabian Olympian to compete.She lost to Melissa Mohijica(Puerto Rica) aged 28,a Black-Belt in the Judo match which ended in just 82 seconds
