Bajaj Auto is known for its two wheelers and three-wheelers. The company is making a four-wheeler for the first time.Bajaj Auto announced the launch of RE 60(designed and developed fully by Bajaj Auto) an ultra-low cost car have a mileage of close to 40 km per litre and will have an 800 cc engine and would give a maximum speed of 70km per hour. The car has a seating capacity of four people.
RE 60 will be produced at three-wheeler plant in Aurangabad and will be launched in 2012. However, the car might be exported first before it is available here in India.
