Australian Captain Michael Clarke's historic 329 not out in the 2nd  Test Match against India on Day 3(Jan 05,2012)played 432 deliveries and hit 37 boundaries and a six to achieve this feat.
  • highest score in an Australia-India Test and the highest at the SCG(surpassed VVS Laxman's 281)
  • scored centuries in all 4 series in which he has captained Australia since taking over from Ponting
  • selflessly declared Australia's 1st Innings with only 5 runs short of Don Bradman  highest score of 334 and 51 runs short of Matthew Hayden's  280 
  • surpassed Sir Donald Bradman's record of highest score of 270 against England in 1937 by an Australian captain on home soil.
  • became the 21st cricketer and seventh Australian player to score a triple ton
  • he eclipsed the 109-year highest score at the SCG, fittingly in its 100th Test match, of 287, registered by Englishman Reg Foster.
