Supercars Mangled in Japan's Expensive Road Crash



8 Ferraris, 3 Mercedes-Benzes, a Lamborghini and 2 other vehicles were involved in the pile-up in the southern prefecture of Yamaguchi.Reports estimate the damaged cars are worth at least 300m yen ($3.85m; £2.46m) in total.

The sports cars - driven at 140-160km/h (85-100mph) in convoy by a group of automobile enthusiasts - were on their way to Hiroshima ended in what may be one of the most expensive car crashes in history.
Police say they believe the accident, which took place on Sunday Dec 04,2011 happened when the driver of one of the Ferraris tried to change lanes and hit the crash barrier.
No-one was seriously hurt, but the road was closed for six hours after the accident.10 people received minor injuries in the crash, police said.

  1. That is a huge devastation. I would love to own just one of those cars. I can't believe so much money was wasted here. So it was bmw car leasing 's rival the Mercedes which caused the crash?
