CVC penalises 130 officials for alleged graft


Central Vigilance Commission(CVC) has penalised 130 government employees for their alleged involvement in corruption.
Of these, 29 were Syndicate Bank officials -
9 each were from Canara Bank and Punjab National Bank,
8 from State Bank of India,
7 from Bharat Coking Coal Limited and
6each from State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur and Life insurance Corporation of India Limited.
Penalties imposed included removal & dismissal of five officials and compulsory retirement in respect of two officials .
