Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar was slapped at a literary event at the New Delhi Municipal Corporation Centre(NDMC)on Parliament Street on Thursday Nov 24,2011 by a youth(Harvinder Singh, a tempo driver from Rohini in Delhi) who claimed to have been angry with price-rise and corruption.
After slapping Mr Pawar, Harvinder Singh shouted slogans against price rise and corruption.
Sharad Pawar said he did not make much of it and it was for the police to deal with the issue. The youth was arrested by the police.
