English Language Newspapers Printed & Published in India


 

The Asian Age is an Indian English Daily Newspaper presently with editions in 4 major cities(Delhi,Mumbai,Kolkatta and Bangalore) in India and one in London and was launched in February 1994, simultaneously in Delhi,Mumbai and London.The newspaper is especially popular for its international coverage (far more extensive than in other Indian dailies) as its weekend supplement carried articles and stories of interest from The New York Times and International Herald Tribune. 

 


 

 

 

The Deccan Chronicle is an Indian English Daily Newspaper  published in Hyderabad,India(with editions in 4 major cities -Hyderabad,Bangalore,Chennai and Coimbatore)by Deccan Chronicle Holdings Limited. The newspaper's name derives from the originating place Deccan  regions of India.The company started its operations in AP as a partnership concern in 1938. Late T Chandrashekar Reddy took over the operations in 1976 after the earlier promoters declared bankruptcy. Mr Reddy subsequently handed over the operations to his two sons T Venkatram Reddy (The current IPL franchisee Deccan Chargers owner) and T Vinayak Ravi Reddy, who have been managing its operation.

The Pioneer is an Indian English Daily Newspaper founded in  1865 in Allahabad by George Allen(an Englishman in Tea-business in the North-East India) where it was brought out three times a week from 1865 to 1869 and daily thereafter. In July 1933, The Pioneer was sold to a syndicate and moved from Allahabad to Lucknow,U.P.In 1990 the newspaper was purchased by L.M.Thapar of the Thapar Group who made it a national newspaper published from - Delhi,Lucknow,Bhubaneswar,Kochi,Bhopal,Chandigarh,Dehradun and Ranchi. In 1998 the newspaper was sold to its editor Chandan Mitra.It is the 2nd oldest English language newspaper in India that is operational


  










The Statesman is an Indian English Broadsheet Daily Newspaper  founded in 1875 and published simultaneously in Kolkatta,New Delhi,Siliguri and Bhubaneswar. The Statesman is owned by The Statesman Ltd., its headquarters at Statesman House, Chowringhee Square,Kolkatta.The Statesman's Thursday feature supplement called "Section 2" is widely recognised for in-depth analysis on art, dance, drama, fashion, lifestyle and entertainment.






The Telegraph is an Indian daily newspaper founded and continuously published in Kolkata since 1982. It is published by the ABP Group.which is noted for its extensive coverage of Indian foreign policy and its focused reporting on India's troubled North-East.The Telegraph is also published from Guwahati and Jorhat  (to cater to the entire Northeast), Siliguri (for North Bengal and Sikkim), Jamshedpur and Ranchi (for Jharkand)

Hindustan Times (HT) is an Indian English-language Daily Newspaper founded in 1924(by Master Sunder Singh Lyallpuri, founder-father of the Akali Movement and the Shiromani Akali Dal in Punjab) and is the flagship publication of HT Media LTD(owned by the KK Birla of the Birla Groupsince 1933).When Shobhana Bhartia(granddaughter of  G D Birla and daughter of K K Birla) joined Hindustan Times in 1986, she was the first woman chief executive of a national newspaper.Hindustan Times has a wide reach in Northern India, with simultaneous editions from New Delhi,Mumbai,Kolkatta,Lucknow,Patna,Ranchi,Bhopal and Chandigarh.

The Hindu is an Indian English Daily Newspaper  founded and continuously published in Chennai since 1878
with the largest circulation base in South India.The Hindu was published weekly when it was launched in 1878, and started publishing daily in 1889.In 1995,The Hindu became the 1st Indian newspaper to offer an online edition.The Hindu is published from 14 locations - Chennai,Coimbatore,Bangalore,Delhi,Hyderabad,Trivandrum,Madurai,Hubli,Kochi,Kolkatta,Mangalore,
Trichi,Vijayawada and Vizagapattanam.

The Times of India (TOI) is an Indian English Daily Newspaper owned and managed by Bennett and Coleman & Co Ltd(which is owned by the Sahu Jain family) and published in New Delhi by the Times Group.TOI is the largest selling English-language daily newspaper in India(34 lakhs copies).The Times Of India was founded on 3 November 1838 by Raobahadur Narayan Dinanath Velkar, a Maharashtrian Reformist as The Bombay Times and Journal of Commerce In Mumbai during the British Raj Published every Saturday and Wednesday.The daily editions of the paper were started from 1850 and in 1861, the Bombay Times was renamed as The Times of India.The Times of India is printed in India at - Ahmedabad,Allahabad,Bangalore,Bhopal,Bhubaneswar,Chandigarh,Chennai,Coimbatore,Delhi,Goa,Gurgaon,
