 The matches were played in Bangalore,Chennai and Hyderabad.

NSW;RCB;Somerset and MI entered the semi-finals.

NSW scored 203/2 in 20 Overs and RCB scored 204/4 in 18.4 Overs and thereby defeated NSW by 6 Wickets.

RCB celebrate win over New South Wales in the 1st Semifinal for the Champions League T20 in Bangalore. Royal Challengers Bangalore won the match by 6 wickets


Somerset scored 150/7 in 20 Overs and MI scored 160/5 in 20 Overs thereby MI defeated Somerset by10 Runs.

RCB  and MI entered the finals.MI scored 139 in 20 Overs and RCB could score only 108 thereby MI defeated RCB by 31 Runs and won the tournament

CSK scored 174/4 in 17 Overs and Royal Challengers scored only123/9 in 16.3 Overs thereby CSK defeated RCB by 52 Runs

Warriors scored 175/6 in 20 Overs and Southern Redbacks scored only 145/7 in 20 Overs thereby Warriors defeated Southern Redbacks by 30 Runs 

CSK and Warriors entered the finals.Warriors scored 128/6 in 20 Overs and CSK scored 132/2 in 19 Overs thereby CSK defeated Warriors by 8 Wickets and won the tournament.

New Southwales;Victorian Bushrangers;Cape Cobras and Trinidad & Tobacco qualified for the semi-finals.

New South Wales scored 169/7 in 20 Overs and Victorian Bushrangers scored only 90/9 in 20 Overs thereby NSW won by 79 Runs.

Cape Cobras scored 175/5 in 20 Overs and T&T scored 178/3 in 19.2 Overs thereby T&T defeated Cape Cobras by 7 Wickets.

News South Wales and Trinidad & Tobacco entered the finals.

NSW scored 159/9 in 20 Overs and T&T scored only 118 in 15.5 Overs thereby NSW won the tournament by 41 Runs                                                                   















2008 Champions League Twenty20

 

The 2008 Champions League Twenty20 was scheduled to be held in India  between December 3 -10,2008  but  just one week prior to the tournament the bomb attacks in Mumbai resulted in its postponement.It was proposed that the tournament be held at some point in 2009, though dates for its rearrangement could not be found and the tournament was cancelled on December 12, 2008.

The teams participating were extremely disheartened with the cancelling of league. Both the Chennai Super Kings and the Rajastan Royals  received $1.3 million as compensation whereas the other teams were also offered some amounts.
