Eiffel Tower



The Eiffel Tower(nickname La dame de fer, the iron lady)named after its designer, engineer Gustave Eiffel,  was built in 1889 marking the centennial celebration of the 'French Revolution' and stands 324 metres (1,063 ft) tall.
The tower has 3 levels for visitors -
Tickets can be purchased to ascend, by Stairsor Lift, to the 1st and 2nd levels.
The walk from ground level to the 1st level is over 300 steps, as is the walk from the 1st to the 2nd level.
The 3rd  level is accessible only by elevator.
The Eiffel Tower has two restaurants: Le 58 tour Eiffel, on the 1st floor 311 ft (95 m) above sea level; and the Le Jules Verne, an expensive restaurant on the 2nd floor, with a private lift
Eiffel Tower weighs 7,300 tonnes while the entire structure, including non-metal components, is approximately 10,000 tonnes.
